When it comes to creating super fun and awesome themed wedding stationery, Wedfest are top of the Leaderboard. For that reason gamer loving couple Rhiannon & Glenn got in touch with Wedfest last year with an idea for some super fun wedding invitations in the style of the retro Nintendo Video Game Cartridges. We had only slightly touched on video game themed wedding invitations before so we were SUPER DUPER excited to get stuck into these awesome Nintendo Wedding Invitations.

Retro Video Game Wedding Invites
The couple gave us some ideas about what they wanted and we researched how the old Nintendo Video Game cartridges looked and worked out how we could turn that layout into a super cool wedding invitation. (We are going to use the word super ALOT in this blog just so you know! 
)

Classic Nintendo Video Game Cartridge Wedding Invitation
For the front side of the nintendo game themed wedding invite we laid out out more or less exactly like the cartridges themselves with all the main text and imagery in the upper right area where the game sticker would be. Here we had the image of a pixelated knight in shining armour and a princess to give the idea of a retro vide game while also represent the bride and groom.

The text for the couples names and wedding details was laid out the same way the video games name would have been on an original nintendo game cartridge.

Gamer Wedding Invites
On the reverse side of the video game wedding invitations was the main information about the wedding in detail which we also laid out in a format similar to the front side so that it still looked like a video game cartridge

These Nintendo wedding invites turned out super cool as you can see. You can also see an alternative design we made for another couple called Bridin & John who also loved this nintendo wedding invitation design. For their wedding invite we used a different pixelated image of a bride and groom which was more inline with what the actual couple looked like themselves. These invites turned out brilliant.

Nintendo Gameboy Wedding Invitations
For Glenn & Rhiannon’s wedding stationery the gamer love did not stop with the wedding invitations. We also made them these amazing Gameboy themed wedding RSVP cards for the guests to fill out and send back to them.

Video Game themed Wedding Table / Seating Plan
The final piece in the puzzle was creating a video game themed wedding table plan. For this we had free creativity and we wanted to create a design which was like a scene from a retro video platform game, with different levels, and secret underground tunnels etc. like the type of thing you might find on the super mario bros games or sonic the hedgehog games….
